Built for clarity

Three things every price should tell you.

01

What it represents

We keep the billing code and hospital description attached so similar-looking services are not silently mixed.

02

Where it came from

Every result traces back to a hospital machine-readable price-transparency file.

03

What may be separate

Facility, physician, anesthesia, pathology, imaging interpretation, drugs, and supplies may be billed independently.

Methodology

A lower number is useful only when the services are comparable.

This early-access service displays positive discounted-cash amounts extracted from each hospital’s latest published machine-readable file. Results keep facility, procedure, care setting, and billing class separate.

Only exact-code outpatient facility charges with one observed cash value and a quality score of at least 90 are ranked as comparable. Other results remain visible as informational or needing review. Implausible values below $1 or above $100,000 are excluded.
